I was born is Cape Town, South Africa. After moving to the UK in my teens, I completed my studies at LEEDS DENTAL INSTUTE (Leeds University) in 1996.

Spending my first year working in Brighton (East Sussex) where I completed my compulsory VT training, I won the prize for the Best Clinical Case Presentation.

In 1997, I did a year’s residency at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham as a Senior House Officer, part of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team.

Aside from my passion for dentistry, I have a real passion for travel, and this brought me to Australia on a working holiday. A tour of the Great Ocean Road immediately cemented my love for Australia and my desire to live in this great country. I worked in Ceduna, Whyalla and Port Lincoln in South Australia, and was also fortunate to be able to take a mobile dental unit out of Alice Springs and treat the remote communities of the Ngaanyatjarra Council on the Gun Barrel highway.

IIn 2000 I returned to work in the UK and worked part time in private practice in London as well as a Community Dental Officer providing health services for Camden and Islington NHS trust.

Fortunately, I was able to return to Perth in 2002 on a permanent basis. In 2006, I took over as the principal dentist of Beaumaris Dental Clinic. In 2015, we designed and created a purposely built architecturally customized premises for the new practice- BLUE APPLE DENTAL.

I enjoy spending time with my wife Carla, two daughters Alexa and Jayda, and our dog Coco. You are most likely to find me outdoors – at the beach, running, training at gym or fulfilling my greatest passion- cycling!

“Dr Evelyn Lau is passionate about making better smiles for her patients. This is what makes her work so rewarding. Evelyn strongly believes in giving back to the community. She recently participated in volunteer work which was organized by her church.
“We went to Cambodia to partner with another organization called Transform Cambodia to treat school aged children in Phnom Penh. In 2017 for Convergence 2017 which supports various charity organizations, we took a total of $21,000 worth of donated dental supplies to the country as well”.
Her recent involvement in “Water For Africa” entailed building a well providing and pumping safe clean drinking water for the community of Isupilo in Tanzania. The people of Isupilo are beyond grateful for Evelyn’s lifesaving gift of water. This new water well will service a population of 2500 people and save them from walking 3 km’s to their previous contaminated water.Evelyn is also fluent in three languages – English, Mandarin, Malay. When she is not working, she is passionate about cooking for friends and family, or travelling to new countries. “I also love to walk my dogs in my free time, they are just like my children!”

I graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2005. After enjoying a brief stint working in the beautiful coastal towns of Esperance and Shark Bay and more inner country Leonora and Laverton, I settled back into the city  and joined Jonathan’s team in 2008.  I enjoy all aspects of dentistry but have a particular interest in preventive dentistry and am very passionate in educating my patients about their dental health.
On a more personal note, I enjoy cooking and have a great passion for dancing but rarely get time for these. Most of my time out of work is spent chasing after my two little children and enjoying family life.

Dr Kristyna Englova is a dedicated, highly skilled and accomplished dentist who joined Blue Apple Dental in January 2021. Expertly trained, Dr Englova spent almost six years at the dental clinic within The General University Hospital in Prague. She worked in Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral surgery, Restorative dentistry, Paediatric dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral Medicine. Patients young and old entrust Dr Englova with their dental care as she delivers treatment using the latest techniques to provide her patients with the best outcomes for their oral health. Her excellent work ethic and genuine enthusiasm make her an asset to our team at Blue Apple Dental.

Amanda brings over 15 years of clinical experience to our clinic, and she has a calm, compassionate approach to patient care. Her gentle communication style helps patients feel relaxed and well supported during all dental appointments. Amanda is fluent in Portuguese.

She enjoys aesthetic and restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns and veneers. Amanda values a thoughtful, patient-centred approach and takes the time to listen to patients and understand each patient’s needs.

Valuing ongoing education, Amanda undertakes regular professional training to refine her techniques and stay up to date with all the latest developments in modern dentistry. This continual growth guides her in delivering outstanding, evidence-based care.

Amanda values kindness, trust and individualised treatment plans, and aims to ensure each appointment is comfortable and genuinely positive for every patient.

Dental Therapist
Carol graduated from Curtin University WA in 1992. She has worked in private practice in Perth for the last 20 years.Carol has a special interest in the treatment of those patients with serious illness who require chemotherapy or extensive medications. She is very interested in keeping up with the latest methods of keeping these patients comfortable and healthy from a dental perspective.With an extensive specialist paediatric background, it is also her priority to commence dental care at a very early stage to minimise intervention. Carol loves to nurture ongoing relationships with her patients, many of whom she has cared for over twenty years, and looks forward to meeting you. She also loves spending time with her dogs who are mostly crazy, but have lovely teeth!
